Volunteer with Link New Haven
Volunteering is open to current Yale students. Join us to help at a resource desk, on our resource guides, or both alongside a small team of Link New Haven volunteers. No prior experience needed.
Resource guides
Help build resource guides
Research, write, find gaps, or keep information current on the guides volunteers and social workers use to navigate resources and help people seeking food, housing, employment, legal, and health services.
- Research organizations and verify eligibility criteria, contacts, and access information.
- Write clear, plain-language resource descriptions
- Contribute what you can, even 1 hour a week helps a ton.
Resource desks
Staff a resource desk
Sit down with New Haven residents and help them find food, housing, employment, legal, and health services. We train every volunteer before their first shift.
- No prior experience required
- Flexible shifts
- Desks on the New Haven Green by Trinity Chapel Green (1 hour on Sundays)
- Soon: sessions at New Haven Public Library
Yale students only
Ready to join?
One short form covers both roles. We'll reach out about training and next steps.
Represent an organization? Partnering works a little differently.
